Is there a way other than facebook of contacting someone on the same network. My Son and myself both use headsets and so communication can be a little slim, when he is Gaming. I'm on widows 8 and He is on windows 7. There must be a way of popping up a message to him .

You can use Visual Basic to code such a program, there is many Tutorials and downloads for this on Youtube.
