Hi, i'm looking for help with upgrading my pc for games such as DayZ Standalone.
As for a budget, i suppose that i don't have one at the moment, it is currently theoretical, i would like to be getting about 40+ fps on games
My current specs:

CPU: AMD FX 4100 3.6 GHz
GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 270
RAM: 16gb DDR3 (2x8)
OS: Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64 bit)
MOBO: ASUSTek (i will update this)

Is there anything i missed? Any help is appreciated.

Solution
Your GPU is great, your should upgrade the CPU to an FX-6300 and you will be good to go. MAKE SURE you update the BIOS to the newest version before you install the new CPU

that is a very nice gpu, if i recall correctly it has comparable performance to a 7870, and well for me that is good (i have a 7750), but is it possible for you to buy an hexacore (fx 6xxx)? i repeat FX quad-cores may not be a good choice because of low IPC...feel free to correct me

oh oh, and RAM, you don't need more than 4x2 Gb of RAM, if you are low on budget, don't even think about spending more than what you can on that massive RAM, 8gb divided in 2 sticks is currently awesome...either that or i didn't understand your question, are those the parts you already have? or the parts you pretend to get? if it was the former, then don't consider what i wrote at the beginning of this answer...i got confused because yo usaid "my current specs"

Sorry, by "current setup", i meant it is what i already have and i am using now, i only have 16gb because my dad had it spare and he offered me an extra 8, i already had 8 but i thought it wouldn't hurt for an extra 8
