How do i install a usb 3.0 adapter?

I'm wondering if you understand what the function of this cable is, because if you knew you needed one it's difficult to understand how you don't know how to fit it.

The cable is purely to enable you to use a case with USB 3.0 sockets with a motherboard that only supports USB 2.0. In particular, it does not convert the USB signal. The sockets will function as USB 2.0 only.

I perfectly understand what it's for, but I wasn't sure where to place it as I'm not too familiar with the inside of computer cases as I rarely look in there.

This kind of helps. I'll just have to mess around and find out where it is exactly.

Obviously no-one can tell you where the appropriate plugs and sockets are without knowing which motherboard and which case you have. I'm just baffled that you know that you need this connector without having looked, or at least reading the motherboard and case manuals, which would give you this information.

Anyway, the m/b manual will tell you where your USB header is, and I would imagine there is only one cable in the case with the appropriate plug on it. Trace the cable back to the USB sockets to be sure.
