So I recently bought a new computer and It currently has:

i5 4670k 3.2ghz
8gb RAM
HD 7750 (I know its not that great)
and a 430w thermaltake PSU

I need a new gfx card that would work good with this. I do a lot of gaming on my computer, so that's what I would be using it for.

Looking to spend around 200-300 dollars MAX

Solution

ok then if you can use that PSU instead, 500w give enough headroom to allow for a better graphics card without the need of a new PSU...

Here some other suggestions :

GTX 760 by EVGA, 20$ off and you get a PC game (Daylight)
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=85650&vpn=02G-P4-2763-KR&manufacture=eVGA&promoid=1018

GTX 770 by MSI, it's the twinfrozr gaming OC , 30$ off and also comes with Daylight PC game :

well you need a new powersupply, this one would do the trick its the best PSU for the price you can get :
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=59615&promoid=1018

This could be a good GPU that fit in the budget , GTX660
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=76367&vpn=GTX660-DC2O-2GD5&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1018

R9 270x by powercolor is 50$ off ATM :
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=93026&vpn=AXR9270X2GBD5-PPDHE&manufacture=PowerColor&promoid=1018

with that you can play modern games at 1080p, great settings and good framerates...
If you want more performance then you are looking at a GTX760 or radeon R9 280x but these card would bust your 300$ budget, personaly i would go with the r9 270x by powercolor its a nice card and the XFX psu you cant go wrong with that either...

Okay thanks! Still open for suggestions.

EDIT: On another note, I have another Corsair 500x PSU stored away somewhere from my old computer that I bought off newegg. I can throw that in if I need a little extra juice. Unless you guys suggest otherwise.

This is getting over your budget but it is the lowest price for a GTX770

On the AMD side, the new r9 280 is within budget (it is a rebranded of a radeon HD7950 boost)
R9 280 again by MSI 20$ off no game included:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127789

Also from XFX awesome deal on the r9 280 found here :
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=95214&vpn=R9280ATDFD&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1018

might also be interested in this one wich is the overclocked version of the previous card, 110$ off the original price including mail in rebate here:
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=95213&vpn=R9280ATDBD&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1018

the R9 280 card performs a little better then the 760 and comes with 3gb of VRAM, and one of these would be my personal pick, i would go with the XFX not overclocked and overclock myself using MSI afterburner wich is very easy to do...

i assumed you where in the US, if you are anywhere else please tell where and wich website you wish to order from...
