So for the past 4 months my Toshiba External Hard Drive has been working perfectly! Last week I tried to access it as it's always on and in my desktop, and I couldn't access it. I looked at it and the blue light isn't on and theirs no sound coming from it, basically it's dead. Now I have way too much stuff on this to just return it or to move onto another one. So I assumed it was the power cord, and bought a new one on Amazon for $25. Got it today, tried it out, and still no power...Is it something with the USB cord or is it something internally since I now know it's not the power cord/AC adapter? If it's the USB cord, should I just purchase a new one? Or should I open it, which voids the warranty, and put it into my actual pc? I don't know how to do that so if you prefer I do, can someone link me a tutorial? Anyone who can help, I appreciate it. Thank you.

The hard drive can be found here:

Possibly a dead enclosure. You can RMA but if you have way much stuff in there it would be better to take off the drive out from the enclosure and connect it direct to your PC via SATA to find out the drive is still fine.

If I do the second choice, is it more likely that I won't have any issues from now on, and do youhave a link to a tutorial and what I need to do it? Much appreciated dude.
