This is for a laptop I am thinking of buying from alienware. I want to make sure it can handle elder scrolls online first. At medium to high quality.

yeah that will do fine. As a word of caution though gaming lap tops are vry expensive for the performance and will not stay relevant for long. So if you want to keep up with gaming you will have to upgrade in a few years.
