Hi, my friend is looking to build a gaming pc for $850, 900 MAX. I just need the best PC components, no mouse, keyboard, or monitor. I prefer Nvidia/Intel over AMD. Thanks

OS? Assuming no, here.
This runs a little over budget; if you wanted to save money, you could go with an h87 mobo and a 4570 (non k) and drop the aftermarket cooler. Yo would save ~70$ and the perf. difference wouldn't be huge.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz - $235
MOBO: Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel Z87 -$110
GRPAHIC CARD: Gigabyte GTX 760 GDDR5-2GB OC WINDFORCE 3X - $260
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (I recommend 2x4 GB because by the time you want more than 16GB, perhaps it will be time to upgrade whole system.) - $90
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt (Or you can go for vs for lesser, but cx is definitely better) - $60
STORAGE: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache - $58
CASE: Cooler Master HAF 912 - $60
OPTICAL DRIVE: Asus 24x DVD-RW - $22
---------------------
Total - ~$895

Though you may go with AMD for a better performance for the same budget. Intel definitely performs way better for high end machines but with a budget in mind, it makes more sense to go for AMD machine. Going for an AMD machine will let you get a better GPU under that budget.
