did i damage the motherboard?

wheni i was screwing in the motherboard to the standoffs, as soon as the screw made contact with the motherboard (i barely tightened them) it started to scratch off paint or the surface of the mobo. did i destroy it?

Probably not. I've saw much worse and they still worked.

Nope. Just make sure that you have used all the standoffs you need, and no extras.
