I was building a computer for a friend, and I notice that I do not have an 8 pin connector for the 12v for the cpu... I was wondering if I need it with a 600w power supply?

Here is the specs,

SOLIDG SDGR-600BX 600W ATX PSU

GIGABYTE **R7-250OC 1GB D5 PCIE DV

GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 MATX

AMD FX-4130 BLACK

DIABLOT EVO ATX MID-TOWER CASE

CRUCIAL 4GB D3 1600 DIMM CL9

WD 500GB 2.5 SATA 3GB/S

I believe you need a 4-pin to 8-pin adapter:

There appears to be sufficient power for your CPU, so I believe this will work but contact Solidgear to verify this is the correct cable, AND that there would be no issues with your FX-4100.

I went to the webpage and they claim "supports all modern CPU's" or similar which is pretty much crap if you need an adapter.

Most Power Supplies have an 8-pin connector comprised of two smaller 4-pin connectors so you can use either 4 or 8-pin depending on the motherboard.
