Recently I have decided that I will be building a desktop over the summer. I need feedback on my build. I will be using it for mainly gaming, and possibly photo/video editing. I play FPS primarily. I am also looking for ways to cheapen the price of the build while not sacrificing performance

-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (Cpu cooler) $34.99
- Western Digital 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM (Hardrive) $85.99
-Windows 8.1 $113.99
-ASUS Black 12x BD-ROM 16x DVD-ROM 48x CD-Rom SATA Internal Blu-ray Drive Model $58.99
- EVGA Geforce GTX 770 4GB Dual w/ ACX Cooler $400
-Crosair CX750 Builder Series ATX 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply $84.24
- Intel Core i5-4670k $209.99
-Corsir Vengeance 8gb ( 2 x 4 gb) DDR3 1600 Mhz RAM $85.50
-Tek Republic TUC-3000 3.5" USB 3.0 CF/SDHC/SDXC/MicroSDX/miniSDHC All in one internal card $24.99
-Crucial M500 120gb SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal Solid Sate Drive $74.99
-NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming case $99.99
-ASUS Z87-Plus LGA 1150 Intel Z87 SATA 6GB/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherbaord $158.99

I am new to PC building. Please mention anything that I am missing, did wrong, and please mention any that is incompatible.

Without knowing your budget there's two things I would suggest:

1. Drop the BD-R drive (you don't really need it), go with a regular DVD-RW drive, and then invest more money in your PSU . You don't want to trust a GTX 770 or any higher end GPU with a Corsair CX.

2. That card reader is also junk - you can drop that and put the difference toward getting a Samsung 840 Evo or OCZ Vertex 460 - much better SSDs than the M500.

I looked at the dvd drive and I have found a good one from asus for 25 dollars. I am trying to decrease the price of this build. I am planning on using my ssd for an operating system. If I do this, will it boot up slowly? Will the Corsair Vengence 550 work significantly better? Also, what PSU would you recommend?
