My friend is building his first intel gaming pc, which motherboard is good gaming board? it needs to OC abit ofc, he will be running i7 4770k

The Asus Maximus VI Hero, did 20 client builds before deciding on it for my rig (in sig), haven't found a better one yet

For a CPU what would you get? is the i7 4770k over kill for gaming and some video editing?

If you do much editing, you'll probably love it, to me it's well worth it, if editing is light and not a super rush on it then might think dropping to the 4670K...main difference is the Hyper threading on the 4770K which really speeds up things like rendering video
