I just got a laptop with an A10- 5757M APU that has the Radeon HD8650G. It currently is marked as having 512MB of system memory dedicated to it. Is it possible to dedicate more memory to it?

What make/model of laptop are you using? It may be possible to allocate more memory via your BIOS. Look for the video settings and see what options you have. Be sure to save your settings after any changes.

It's an Acer Aspire V5-552P. I already looked at the BIOS but there's no option for graphics present.

no you cant , the memory amount is fixed by the manufacturer here , as with all other apu based laptops. actually 512mb is enough for it.

The manual doesn't list anything either. If you can't modify in the BIOS, then check to see if there is a newer BIOS version (see below) for your system that may enable this feature in the BIOS.

That GPU uses shared memory with the laptop's main memory, so the BIOS is the place to make the change.

I updated BIOS version from 2.03 to 2.07 but still there's not graphics option there. Does anyone know if it dynamically allocates RAM like the Intel solutions do?
