Hey everyone,

I'm attempting to convert from consoles and it was quickly evident you save a lot creating your own. So, with what very limited knowledge I had I've been scouring this site and many others the past 2 days comparing every component. I'm trying to create a gaming pc for around $1500 and with what I ended up with for price I can deal with.

Here's what I came up with: http://

I'd like to play games such as Elder Scrolls Online, Watch Dogs, and some FPS on ultra settings. Ideally I wouldn't need to upgrade for at least 2-3 years and at that point I'd probably go SLI and overclock once necessary and I'd have learned enough to feel comfortable doing so. Please let me know what you think about this build, if it's capable of the gaming how I would like it, if there are bottlenecks I may be unaware of or what ever concerns or suggestions that might help in my build.

Thanks!

Also, I wasn't sure if a network adapter was necessary.

What you have there is a good setup for your budget. Which probably why no one has said anything, because you did a good job at picking everything yourself. When you do...

It's funny you should recommend that because that was one I was considering for a while. You're probably right and the price difference is negligible so I'll swap those out. The cooler was one of the last things I tweaked just to see the price drop below $1600; for some reason I got anxious when I saw it hit that amount.

And please don't hold back on critiques guys! I'm new to this so if I've ended up with something you can tell will have any flaws or won't perform at the ultra settings in games as I would like it to just let me know. I won't take offense.

What you have there is a good setup for your budget. Which probably why no one has said anything, because you did a good job at picking everything yourself. When you do buy everything and start putting all together, newegg.com does have helpful video's that you can watch if you have any questions on what connects to what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls

Also, one last tip I will advise is before you start touching any of these parts, be sure to remove any electrical charge from your body/ground yourself. You'd be surprised how many people make that mistake, and its costly.

Thank you for confirming the build. Being a first time builder and also while it's not a ton of money it is a pretty significant amount to me, so I was hesitant to go ahead and order before getting some input. I appreciate your help with this and I'll be sure to ground myself when putting it all together! (Something I wouldn't have known to do before..boy that would've been a costly lesson!)
