Did I damage my motherboard?

I didn't realize there were soft washers to put on the screws before screwing them it. The screws scratched up the motherboard. Rookie mistake, I know. I didn't tighten them enough to hurt it to much, but should I take them out and put the washers on?

I have never used those washers on any build (more than 100). I wouldn't worry about it at all. Just tighten the screws until snug and game on.

provided you have not overtightened them and cracked the mobo you should be ok , i am asuming you are talking about the screws that hold your mobo to the standoffs ? , and they don't require rubber washers just a small screw with built on washer

Okay thanks for the advice guys.

I have uninstalled them and reinstalled them with the washers just to be safe.

So the washers aren't required but they are optional? As in they won't hurt anything?
