Hi,

I bought a Pre Built Gaming PC from Umart. It ran good for about the first week, and then all of a sudden the startup would take around 5 minutes and then once it finally go to the desktop it would have dramatically low performance. The only fix i have found for it is to restart the computer as soon after I start it up in the morning. Some things I have tried are: Chkdsk, run antivirus, run ccleaner, downloaded all the latest drivers. I have tried nearly everything I can. I researched and it said it was my hard drive failing but when i did Chkdsk it said it was fine. Can Somebody help with this?

Thanks, Matt.

PC SPECS:
i7 - 4770 3.4ghz
8gb RAM
AMD R9 270
1TB HDD
Windows 7 64 bit

Solution
If its prebuilt you have a warranty , and presumably a help desk . Use them .

Chances are your hard drive is faulty . That or the drivers for your motherboards SATA controller

The SATA driver can be uninstalled using device manager . After that reboot and a fresh copy should be installed . If not you will have to manually install one from the disk you might have , or from the mb makers web site
