Hey pros,

Right, I have a problem that I am tired of researching and would appreciated a few views, first of all heres my set up -

i5 4670k
MSI Z87-GD65 mobo
16gb 2133 corsair ram
120 ssd
2TB HDD
Watercooled.
Single 27" monitor
GPU???????

My questions

1) which is better for games? Radeon R9 280x (high spec) or Geforce GTX770 (high spec), Also does the 2, 3 or 4gb memory make a diference for now or the future?? (i only use one monitor).

2) As I have a MSI gaming mobo, would it benifit me getting a MSI Gaming GPU?

Please help, this is doing my head in, just waiting to buy a gpu, just need a shove in the right direction.

Thanks

Scott

1) Get whichever costs you less, the RAM doesn't matter with a single 1080p screen.

2) No, it wouldn't.

If you want to watercool, you'll have to get a GPU with the reference board, like this:

I'd pick the 770 for 1080p
It won't particularly benefit from the MSI gpu, though the msi gaming oc 770 is a quality card with great cooling and is not expensive among other 770's (also fits the color scheme)
I've got the exact same system (with the 770) and couldn't be happier.
My two cents.
