In multi threaded programs and games you'll notice the difference between i3 and i5.
Maximus VI Hero has five 4pin fan headers.

Yes motherboard will easily fit in full tower 750D case, since it's a standard ATX size (305x244mm) motherboard, and if your case has enough cooling (it should have enough cooling) then motherboard, CPU and GPU won't overheat at all.
Your parts won't run higher than 70C (CPU ~70C, GPU 65~70C)

No problem if you have question feel free to ask, I will answer for all your questions :)
For PSU I would recommend you the best 850W PSU which is Seasonic X-850 fully modular PSU.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

You'll be able to SLI your GTX-780 later and OC your CPU :)

and umm with my 750d case i bought it about a month ago and i tried hooking it up with my old motherboard and everything set up but none of the lights turned on im just wondering if the case it broken or its the extremely old motherboard?

Yeah! you're correct Corsair makes good cases.
Did you plug cable's "+" and "-" in right position, some cases don't have marks on cables but there must be little triangle which shows plus cable
