In my view, you should buy a GTX 780 :
1) Its DirectX 12 Ready.
2) The Recent Driver Updates (337.50) push the performance better than Mantle.
3) It has a much higher overclocking headroom. On peak overclock, its performance is comparable to 780Ti.
4) G-Sync Support - If that tech. catches your eye.

Anyone got any benchmark links for the pair against each other? Found some but not many about, or at least what I can see.

GTX 780 has got a much more overclocking headroom.
That's why retailers are comfortable to host upto 19% factory-overclock while its not even 10% on R9 290.

An overclocked 780 works on par with 780 ti, while an overclcoked 290 is nowhere near the Titan 2013.

Maybe I should of gotten the GTX 780 but I now got the R9 290 coming, it is £85 cheaper so not to bad, could get a nice cooler on it and overclock...
