1st time build got a GA z87x-ud3h mobo a week ago and up until I've been trying everything to make it work but all attempts to fix it have failed so I'm left with the option of installing the RAM (corsair vengeance pro series) cards on DDR3_3 and DDR3_1 and they work fine. GPU (MSI gaming gtx 770 2GD5/OC) also installed on PCI-E 3.0 x8 and it displays the boot device key since I haven't installed the OS yet. is the difference significant or minor?

MOBO - GA Z87X-UD3H
CPU - intel i5-4670k
GPU - msi geforce gtx 770 2gb ddr5 OC edition
PSU - corsair cx600m
RAM - 2x4gb corsair vengeance pro series 1600mhz
HDD - seagate barracuda 1TB

will try installing the OS now. I hope this would fix the problem I just find it really strange why it wouldn't display on PCI-E 3.0 X16 slot but would display on the PCI-E 3.0 X8 slot. thanks for the reply

well installed the OS and everything now and still nothing. is it possible the my ram and GPU are also defective? I'm thinking of sending it back.

Before you RMA it try with other PSU and if it's same as before, you probably have faulty graphics card.

I don't have any other PSU atm :( but it displays images when installed on the PCI-E x8 slot? can it still be defective with that?

Then you have to try to run your new GPU on other PC to be sure that it's a faulty GPU

hello there! went to a guy whom my friend knows and tested my GPU, RAM, and PSU and all of it worked fine. gpu was used to and installed drivers and played a game for 5 mins. the ram was tested on dual channel it registered 8gb of memory. and the psu was tested along with the gpu and ram and it all worked fine :) the fault was my MoBo
