GPU on which pci-e slot

Hi guys, currently I place my GPU on the bottom pci-e slot which is PCIe 2.0 x16_2 (at x4 mode)
if I place it on the top one (PCIe 2.0 x16_1 (at x16 mode)) will I get an increased performance?

Of course you'll get :)
Theoretically your GPU should work 50% faster. Why you've installed your GPU in second slot? and what GPU do you have?

I have no idea why I installed on the 2nd slot, since it's my first time building a pc XD
It's R9 270X

Yeah! it happens sometimes, run some benchmark (3D-Mark11, Unigine Heaven 4.0), after install your GPU into first slot, run same benchmark and compare results. Good Luck :)

hey Ahmadjon, before I install my gpu to the x4 pcie I ran unigine heaven and got 314 score with 12.5 fps. After I install on the x16 pcie I got 718 score and 28.5! is that a good result for r9 270x???

Yeah! that's a good score for your card however it's 2x times better than PCI-E X4 as I expected :D
