Right now I have all my music on my C drive, and when that music is playing while transferring large files to my D drive (around 10GB or more), the music locks up for 10-15 seconds at a time (this usually starts about 3 minutes into the transfer), so basically I have to pause it until the transfer is done. It's really annoying and I think it's because the hard drive is being overworked but I'm not really sure. It's SATA 2 and the transfer speeds are usually between 40-60MB/s which I think is much less than what SATA 2 can do.
for reference, this is my motherboard:

I just want to know if I'm gonna run into the same problem and what I can do to fix it (buying a dedicated hdd for music?)
