Confused really in this monitor specs..

I saw one monitor with up to my needs and found it in my country (India)Viewsonic VX2270s.. But in viewsonic website, depicted that there is no HDMI port in that monitor.. but in that website I mentioned, under specifications/features - connectivity, HDMI port is available.. My confusion arised from - under product reviews in that flipkart.com some say, there is no HDMI port and others it has.. ! So which one is true? Can somebody check that out at your country's most trusted website? Also there were several models with that name but along with letters in the model name "mh" like VX2270Smh, I want the "S" model alone since it was 4ms IPS.. In addition, what sufferings will I have to face without the HDMI cable in the future?

Solution

Well HDMI to HDMI will carry sound, but HDMI to DVI will not carry sound, so you will have to use the audio port off your motherboard or soundcard.
the VX2270S Has HDMI/VGA/DVI

the VX2270SMH Has HDMI/VGA/DVI

Both have same inputs and are quite similar, does this answer your question?

HDMI isn't that big of a deal, DVI is just as good, HDMI is better if you want video+sound, which monitor speakers are terrible anyways so makes HDMI pointless over DVI.

It really answered my question.. Can you say where you confirmed that "VX2270S "has HDMI port? Any link.. If I've seen I can show to my friends and will get satisfied.. Also is that model really a 4ms IPS?

Here is the official source site for Viewsonic and specifially says at the bottom when you scroll down that HDMI is only available on the VX2270SMH model. The regular VX2270S only has vga and DVI I'm afraid.

http://ap.viewsonic.com/in/products/lcd/VX2270S-LED.php

And yes, the VX2270S is confirmed to have 4ms response time.. And if you really want this model, but need HDMI connection just get a DVI to HDMI cable, they're really popular.

DVI and HDMI carry the same digital signal in a passive process, therefore introducing 0 lag. The only problem that you will have is that it will not carry audio, because DVI does not support it. Other than that, same exact thing as HDMI.

Well, here is another confusion.. Both are from viewsonic website but showing different response time..
VX2270Smh-ap.viewsonic.com
VX2270Smh-www.viewsonic.com

Which one to trust..?:??::ange:

http://www.viewsonic.com/us/vx2270smh-led.html .= real one

I don't know what that other site is, must just be mimic site or something and don't know how you found it haha.

I just googled the model name and found those two websites coming along :D Well thanks, www.viewsonic.com is the original one.. Does 4 ms vs 7 ms in an IPS panel really matters for FPS and Racing games at ultra settings?
