Hello, I have been getting some weird crashes and BSOD's I am using BlueScreenView to view the minidumps and below I shall paste the errors or upload them and post a link.

I have tried getting help from Microsoft but there trying to charge me almost £100 to fix the issue...

Here are some basic details:

I have recently been upgrading my computer components, I had Windows 7 but upgraded to windows 8 (Clean install after format) then I installed all important updates and then upgraded to Windows 8.1. I then installed windows 8.1 updates and went to my motherboard manufacture and downloaded all the drivers and installed them, Then I installed my GPU drivers for the 780 Ghz edition and started installing my games that I like to play.

During playing games this crash happens it may happen while out of games to but I am normally in a game pretty much when ever I am on the computer.

BlueScreenView says the files at fault are: hal.dll+669a and ntoskrnl.exe+19ed47 and I have searched but cant figure why its happening, I have tried changing GPU drivers after using driversweeper in safe mode but the error still happen no matter what drivers I try. I have then tried CMD:sfc /scannow and that passes I then tried CMD: dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and that finished successfully.

I then went on to try testing my RAM as people had suggested to others with similar issues but that passed 5 passes at extream setting. I have also went as far as checking for viruses using defender or what ever its called and even defragged my hdd.

COMPUTER COMPONENTS / SPEC:

Windows 8.1 64bit
8gb ddr3 corsair 1600MHz
AMD FX-6300 6core 4.0GHz
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard
Gigabyte gtx 780 Ghz edition 1071mhz
Corsair RM850 PSU 80+ gold

Think thats pretty much all the important stuff :S

Solution
OK If you have reinstalled the OS and are still having issues then it is a hardware issue.

programs to run and check parts.
Memtest86+ Put this on a disk or flash drive and run it from the boot options in the Bios. Run it for 11 passes to be sure of stability. Run this one first as a Ram error will show as an unstable CPU in the next 2 tests. <-- tests ram.
Intel Burn Test Run this with stress level set to max and for 20 runs. This program works on AMD and Intel CPU's. <-- tests the CPU.
Prime95 Run this as stress test and on blend for 5 or more hours. sometimes the first CPU test will not cause an error where this one can and visa-versa. <-- tests CPU.
OCCT use this program only for testing the GPU. run this test with Error Checking...

Hmm I dont know if this is anything but I tried opening Geforce experience to check the driver version and an error came up saying can not connect to Nvidia but the program opened anyway lol is this just a normal bug or do it have something to do with the drivers also?

current driver version is: 335.23

One thing I have noticed is in windows 8 in device manager there are no yellow markers but when I go into safe mode I see a yellow marker on my monitor is this just because im in safemode or is that an issue?

Hi I still have had no joy in fixing things, I went as far as formatting my hard drive and re installing windows but not 8 or 8.1 this time I went back to windows 7 and the problem is still here... I have tried so many things and cant solve nothing... I thought i managed to get the computer running but to be honest it seems it may be getting worse... and by worse I mean my fps in games has now gone down by say 40% in battlefield 4 I was getting 80-100 a lot of the time in game and it was smoothish but now im getting around 40 fps and also im getting weird screen tearing and still getting stutters... i should not need to turn Vsync on at 40 fps but i tried that and yeah the screen tearing mostly went but with Vsync on I started getting massive stuttering.... also on Ghost Recon Phantoms my fps wont go over 60 and the same thing for stuttering an that... I checked if vsync was on in game and in control panel and it was not but it seems to lock at 60.

anyway the BSOD stopped for a few days then now it has come back but things are now seeming much worse than before... I will list the errors I got below, I have the crash minidump but im not sure where to upload it so people can see it... Also I ran latencymon again on windows 7 with same results I tested it again as people said it lies on windows 8.. but it seem it was actually not and it was showing the correct results.

Errors:

dxgkrnl.sys dxgkrnl.sys+8901 fffff880`11c87000 fffff880`11d7b000 0x000f4000 0x51fa153d 01/08/2013 08:58:53

dxgmms1.sys dxgmms1.sys+c374 fffff880`11d7b000 fffff880`11dc1000 0x00046000 0x5164dc13 10/04/2013 04:27:15

ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+7ef4d fffff800`02c1b000 fffff800`03200000 0x005e5000 0x521ea035 29/08/2013 02:13:25 Microsoft® Windows® Operating System NT Kernel & System 6.1.7601.18247 (win7sp1_gdr.130828-1532) Microsoft Corporation C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

The above 3 are what are highlighted in BlueScreenView program but there are alot of things not highlighted under those, I guess the highlighted ones are the ones that caused the fault?

How can I upload this Minidump I really need help with this computer before I kick the living C**P out of it

If one of these tests fails it will help point you in the direction for more diagnostic work. It could be a bad Bios setting or a bad part. So make sure your Bios settings are stable.
