Lost Hard-Drive Space

I got my computer more then a year ago and the max was 1.8 terabytes (0.2 is taken by windows) And now my max is 931 GB. I noticed it one day, Nothing bad happened to my computer before I noticed. What do I do to get it fixed?

What happened to cause this? A screen s hot of your disk management window would be helpful.

Just updated it, Plus I deleted some files It made it gain some more space but I still worry about the missing hard-drive space.

I dont know where that is on my computer? Do you mean the place where I took the photo?

hi ngamer99,
windows updates can take a large chunk of your HDD , especially windows backups ,
try a program like avg pc tuneup and see how much you can gain by removing windows backups , cache files and disabling windows hibernate etc
download free trial and give it a go , i think you will be very surprised at the results

Either thats an ad or I dont even know? Windows SHOULD only of taken 0.2 of my 2 terabytes Not more then 1 terabyte

Yes, that is indeed a standard 1TB drive. What was telling you earlier that it was a 2TB drive?

Something is not right.
If that were indeed a 2TB drive, to the right of that 931GB space there would be more space. Whether unformatted or whatever.

And from the specs you linked, that is supposed to have 2 drives. A 120GB SSD, and a 2TB HDD.

There is only a 1TB HDD in there now.

It can't just 'disappear'. Even if it were unavailable, it would still show in that window. Have you taken it anywhere for service lately?

just checked your link , usafret is right , thats not what you have , no ssd and a 1tb hdd , your missing space was never there
or someone has pulled a swifty on you

Well I exactly remember it being 1.8 TB and I even had proof it was since that's my pc. And the last time I had it taken for service was Months before I noticed *I only noticed this bug about a month ago*

Take the side panel off and look. According to the specs, you should see 2 drives. A 120GB SSD, and a 2TB HDD.
And on the HDD, the size should be printed on there somewhere.

What is actually, physically, in there now?

I will check as SOON as possible *since Someone else has to open it Up I'm terrible with insides of computers*
