I am ready to build my pc and i dont know where will I benefitt the most.

Heres my AMD build.

CPU is AMD FX-8350
MoBo is GigaByte GA-970A-D3P (rev. 1.0)
(Not suree. Give me opinions in other boards which costs only for $100 or maybe just a bit higher and also with 4 slot ram.)
GPU is Powercolor Devil XR9 270x 2gb (Also im not surr for ths one. Pleasr tell me if its good enough.)
RAM is 8gb Kingston hyper x 1600

Intel Build

CPU is i5-4570
MoBo is Asrock B85m-Hds
Same Gpu on AMD.
Same RAM

I will use it for mostly gaming and editing. I want to achieve a 1080 ultra quality game if it is possible in this budget.

Please give me opinions on my build. Pros and Cons. Also i am on a very tight budget. Thanks!

Solution

Well the AMD has 8 (better overall performance) cores which will benefit you in some modern games and video editing, while the has better performance per core, which makes it ideal for applications that use no more than 4 threads.

I'd go for the AMD one just because it has better overall performance and you can overclock it in the future. As for the motherboard, the Asus M5A97 2.0 would be my pick in that price range.

The GPU is great for the price and can run games like BF4 on high settings with no problems. And make sure to get 2x4GB sticks of RAM so it'll run in dual channel mode.

I'd go with the intel one.
Although the amd build is a powerful one and features oc, intel builds possess newer and latest technologies which make it the most preferred one. You are more likely to regret having an amd build due to its less usb 3.0 ports, older motherboard chipsets, inferior memory controller etc. If u want a powerful pc at a low cost go with amd. If u prefer latest tech and better stuff go with intel.

That's true, but when the price range is what it is, you'll be better off by going for the best performance/price ratio.

My take on the PSU: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

This isn't exactly a tight build, this is a mid-high end PC, now as for both builds, i have always been on amd side, but yes they are right, amd is for tight builds (intel can't beat amd on low price points) but you have a good budget, i'd choose an fx 8xxx, but most would go with intel, as most games can't use more than 4 cores at the moment and intel has higher IPC, hyperthreading, etc,etc,etc...

Thanks for your opinions! Ill wait more answer overnight. Sorry i cant quote each answers. I dont know how t do it on mobile. Anyway what about amds Kaveri series? Or the piledriver is much better in performance. Sorry dont know anything about latest cpus and stuffs!

The Kaveri series -products are all APUs (built in GPUs) so you'd be wasting money on something you'd never use.

cases are almost always fine...and 730w is just a LOT lol, i can't believe a hardware actually NEEDS more than 700w, and your choices are fine, you just have to choose between CPUs and yo ualready have all of our opinions xd (and of course motherboard)

Your PSU is easily strong enough and the case is good too.

Again thanks for quick response and funny ones. Hahaha. Yet the mobo you suggested is not available in the hardware in which i will buy my build. (Just checked it on the site) any suggestions?

What country do you live in? Can't you just order it online?

Well i think im wrong somehow. They may have that mobo. When i go to the store. They told me they have a fx 8350. Yet it doesnt show on the website. My conclusion is that the site may not be updated. But what are you gonna do with the site anyway?

I just thought I'd recommend you some other option since the first suggestion wasn't available, but now that you found out it is, I'd say you should definitely get it.
