Which CPU is better?

Hello internet.

Which AMD CPU is better as they are around the same price ( yes one is a APU)

The CPU's

1.) AMD A10-6800K
2.) AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core

If you can get the Intel setup then yes, in games it would be noticeably better than option 2, especially under Windows 7. Although, the AMD chip is a bit better than the i5, in many of the encoding, rendering and modeling tasks. Check out this comparison between the two http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/698?vs=701

It depends on what you want to use them for, what are your budget constraints, and whether you plan to add a discreet GPU or not.

Well of course the fx 8320 is faster as it has more cache, faster clock speeds and of course, more cores.
Though of course you'd have to combine it with an gpu in order for it to work.

Well its going to be used for a gaming pc, my budgets in the £600 range and a discreet GPU is possible.

The two CPUs are close in price because the A10-6800K comes with a low-powered GPU built into it. Otherwise the FX8320 is a much more powerful processor. If you're planning to get a discreet GPU later, then option #2 is the only way to go.

Games atm only use up to 4 cores. The FX has more cores, but they are weaker. The i5 has less cores, but they are stronger. Games atm won't make use of the 8 cores, but only use 4 cores. The FX will run on 4 weaker cores compared to the i5. The FX isn't bad, but I prefer the intel because of the reason mentioned above.
