Its a asus g74sw the screen went and it was turning on before the screen broke but kept saying put in disc for recovery so i would then it would say press fsomething when ready but it wouldn't work I want to recover the files there was def a virus on it aswell so how can I get the files from the hard drives and if I could would I get the virus again its a 1tb aswell any help would be great

Remove the HDD from the laptop and buy an external HDD case. Now hook the hard-drive into the case and plug it into another Pc (with an anti virus)
Scan the HDD with an anti-virus like norton/kaspersky/avg etc. with the other PC before opening it to remove the virus's. once the scan is complete and the virus's/malware has been removed by the anti virus you can recover the files from it. It will appear in "my computer" as a HDD external storage device.
