Question on Read speeds

So, in my PC, i have a SSD for Windows, and a HDD for... other.
I as moving a large file (7.37 GB) from the HDD to a server in the same LAN (in my apt.).
I noticed that (according to Windows task mgr) the disk was reading at 31.5 MB/s but the Ethernet port was sending at 265 MB/s. To the best of my knowledge i wasn't uploading any other data to any place at that time.

Does anyone know why/how the network would be sending more data than the HDD was reading to the system?

Tried adding the screenshot of it, but Toms won't show it for some reason

Hi,

I think maybe you might have misunderstood something...Your network is sending information at 265 Megabits/s (Mbps) while your Disk is reading the information at 31.5 Megabytes/s(MB/s). Considering a byte is equal to 8 bits. You can do the math from there. Hope that helps you understand.
