hey guys. I really need help, I am truly desperate about this.
I bought my computer about 2 1/2 years ago, everything went perfect, except a quite loud and weird noise making DVD Drive. It started in january this year, I got my 144hz monitor for my birthday on 7th,
when suddenly, around 20th of january, all my games had a performance loss of about 75%.
I only play games like Dota2, Borderlands 2, Team Fortress 2. All of them ran perfectly, TF2 242fps cap max all the time, borderlands 120fps all the time, dota2 aswell. I did everything, the problem still exists. What I did:
-Checked for Virus, Malware, Spyware, anything else.
-Defragmented my HDD twice
-Cleaned my Vents couple of times, there wasn't ANY dust in my whole case (I used 2 cans of air for those few times)
-Reinstalled the Games, Defragmented the Games
-Formated my HDD, installed Windows freshly on it
-Checked for loose cables inside my Case
-Checked for anything bad inside my case
-Checked my Temps (Everything fine, CPU is 40°C when playing, GPU 50°C when playing)
-Memtest, 0 Errors, did it TWICE
-Installed Windows on another HDD, still the same
-Checked the Voltages, seems fine for me (Can post it, maybe you know more)
-Benchmarking seems fine aswell
-(edit): Updated graphics Driver few times, rolled back couple of times, Update Bios, Updated Chipset
I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm not a layman, I just don't think there is an error of hardware..
My rig:
I5 2500K @ 3,3GHz (Turbo 3,7GHz)
GTX 560 Ti 2GB
8GB RAM 1600 CL9
Corsair TX750W
I only play Team Fortress 2, mostly with FPS configs due to this.
If theres noone around, I have 300FPS (capped 300), if there are players around it drops to around 200,
if there's a firefight it goes down to 100 on some maps.
Please, if you know ANYTHING or Had anything like this, please let me know.
