absolutely not, APU povide basics performance in modern games and will allow for fluid gameplay on low/medium details at 1080p...Also the computing performance of the available APU's is much less then even the entry level CPU's available, APU are meant for occasional gamer that are not interested in playing the latest heavy titles in HD resolution. If you fit in this category and building a PC for work and media and net browsing then an APU is a good choice, if you're into gaming defenetly go with a CPU and dedicated graphics card.
