i5-4679k or i7-4770k, I will be playing DayZ and BF4, doing school work and research, If I get the i7 I will have to get the Gigabyte Z87X-SLI instead of the ASUS Maximus HERO. (Not sure if the Gigabyte one is good)

Why did you drop down to a 270x? You said your budget was £1300 or less but that build is less than £800. That power supply is not good enough.

I'm not sure why you are wanting to stick with an AMD card when the GTX780 ot GTX780ti would be much better, but here you go

The 290x would be better than the 780. This build I must say I do like.
