I want to upgrade my PC.. plz help

I am going to buy parts of pc like processor, motherboard, Video Card, PSU, Hard disk and RAM
My old pc specs are:-
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(TM) 4 1.7 GHz
Motherboard: (I searched it but can't found. But that's ok I will upgrade it)
Video Card: Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL
PSU: ZEB-450W (DSATA), 20+4 PIN
Hard Disk: IDE/DISK ST3160215A
RAM: Samsung DDR2 557 512MB

Upgrading with:-
Processor: AMD 4 GHz AM3+ FX-4300 Four-Core Edition FD4300WMHKBOX
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2
Video Card: Geforce GTX 550 Ti 1 GB GDDR5
PSU: Cooler Master Thunder 450W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9)

I know that my old PC specs are too low and new are some higher but still I want to upgrade it.
Can I upgrade my pc with these old specs to new?
If I can, Are these parts are all for Upgrading?

No, you should replace the original computer. It's far outdated and it's time to move on.

Besides the parts you have chosen are completely different from the old computer, so it's going to be mostly incompatible, anyway.

No get either 2 x 2gig or 2 x 4 don't get 1 stick. And thoes parts look good to me but why amd and not intel?

@thatvietguy I also have a new computer but I also want to upgrade this PC. @Ibreakthings Intel and its motherboard is costly than amd that's why I've chosen AMD.

Well, if you're upgrading the old PC with the parts you've listed, then it shouldn't be a problem. But it's not really an upgrade, it's really replacing the computer.

It should work, but I agree that you should buy two sticks of RAM, rather than one stick of RAM
