Spontaneous PC Restarts, how do I figure out what's causing it?

Hi, a while ago I scraped together enough money to buy a cheap PC, this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227442. But, I wanted a gaming PC, so later on I got an Nvidia GTX 660 3gb, and I upgraded the power supply to a 600 watt Corsair PSU. this build had been running fine until about 2 weeks ago when the restarts began, It restarts randomly even when I'm not doing anything, and about 3 times now has restarted while I'm booting my computer up at the beginning of the day, any answers would be helpful, thank you.

after a while of playing a game and talking on skype in safe mode, my screen went black, seconds later an error came up that basically said my graphics card messed up, installing the latest driver now.

I'd been using it for a few hours today (after installing new drivers), and was starting to feel quite optimistic. Just as I launched a game, it restarted my computer.

Hmm, it could have happened due to few things :

1. Driver conflict issue (OS)

2. Faulty PSU

3. Faulty GPU/MB

So if you have spare PSU or GPU or if you can manage it from someone then test with it, you may find the actual source of problem.

You can also try your GPU on another system to make sure its working properly there.

You may need to update the MB BIOS also. But if you do that do with caution, else you can brick the MB. Good luck.

Ok, so I was playing a game earlier called FTL, or Faster Than Light, which is not a very graphics intensive game. When all of a sudden my screen went black and I though my computer was restarting, when the video came back it was an error message that said this "The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.

The application must close." What does this mean and how can I fix it?
