Hey there!

I think it's finally time to upgrade my old Core 2 Duo E8400 powered system. I've been looking for some parts, and I've come up with something. I wanted to ask your opinion, would this build be the absolute best bang for the buck.

I'm a very budget minded person, and I want always to get the best possible stuff I can get with my little money.

My old system:
Motherboard: Asus P5ND
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (OC at 3,30GHz)
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6850
RAM: 6Gb DDR2 RAM 800MHz
Storage: 3x 320Gb hard drives.
Antec Earthwatts 500w PSU
All inside rather new Antec Three Hundred case.

My planned new system (and prices):
Motherboard: AsRock Fatal1ty h87 performance (89,90€)
Processor: Intel Core i3 4130 (3.40GHz) (113€)
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6850 *
RAM: 8Gb Kingston Valueram (2x 4Gb, 1333MHz) [I will upgrade more later] (70€)
Storage 3x 320Gb hard drives * [I will upgrade more later]
Antec Earthwatts 500w PSU *
Using the same Antec case.
* = reused part from my old system

And now, I want your opinion. Is this the best bang for the buck I can get. So the new parts I'm going to buy is the motherboard, processor and naturally, ram. They will cost about 270€ all together.

Please give me your opinion, and suggest what you would otherwise.
Thanks

You can save money by going with amd. The 6300 is a much better processor for the price. Also, AMD motherboards are cheaper. I have the msi 970 g43 and if you want the same features on intel you'll pay 30$ more.

Yeah I actually looked at FX6300 as an option. But after I looked at some benchmarks and stuff, and while that being a fact that with the lga1150, I still have lots of years to upgrade, I thought that i3 would be a better way to go in the long run.
