After installing drivers from the MSI website for my MSI GTX 760 2GB twin frozr, my monitor doesn't receive a signal after the bios screen, i've tried version 331.65 and 320.63, ran my pc in safe mode and uninstalled those drivers. works fine after that. Went into bios and made sure that I was using the PCI-e instead of onboard graphics once booted,i disabled onboard graphics under device manager and reinstalled the drivers, restarted my pc and the same thing happens. Im in desperate need of help

Solution
First of all download Display Driver Uninstaller(Driver sweeper) from here: http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html and extract it.
And download CCleaner from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ and install it.
Then follow the steps below:
1. Uninstall your graphics driver through the control panel->Program and Features.
2. (Important)Restart and boot into safe mode.
3. Run Display Driver Uninstaller and unistall all gpu drivers in your pc.
4. Restart and boot to the regular desktop.
5. Run CCleaner and remove registries.
6. Reboot
7. Install the latest driver from nvidia website
8. Restart

Just try clearing CMOS as already stated above. If that doesn't help you out, do fresh install of Windows and...

http://imgur.com/qEdPqph this is what's on my uninstall list, anything to remove here? tried the nvidia driver. same problem. even though i disabled my onboard graphics, it shows up on my device manager list as standard vga graphics adapter after deleting the GPU drivers while in safe mode and restarting

i used it but after downloading the latest driver, it prompts me to restart, which i did. when it powered up, it flashed the bios screen, then the windows logo, halfway through the windows logo, it loses signal

I see.
Uninstall everything ge-force related, from the geforce experience to the drivers in device manager, then install just the driver from the nvidia website.
Also remove any MSI application you downloaded from their site.
Also, clear CMOS, maybe there's an iffy setting in bios for PCIE.

just format the drive where your OS is. Backup data before you do that and re-install the Windows on your storage device.

Guys, it may sound strange the way I fixed but you have to try because for me worked win8.1 with nvidia gtx 770 on an asus motherboard. I have removed 770 from computer and connected the monitor with the motherboard with vga cable to see if it's working(signal ok) and after that i put back the nvidia 770 (ONLY DVI CONNECTION). The computer noticed that i have putted the video card so I had to conect to nvidia with dvi cable but i left the vga cable connected to monitor and then.... Everything was FINE!!!!!
So, short story: connect a vga cable to monitor(the other end don't connect anywhere else) and connect the DVI cable with your monitor and your video card!!!!
Worked for me 100%!!!
I have an HP monitor with vga and dvi connections
It sounds stupid but....!!!!! I'm happy now with my new gtx 770
