Hello, I've been having issues recently with a thermaltake psu (500w) and was wondering if it's the psu itself failing or if It doesn't give enough power. My rig is as follows:
(everything on stock clockspeeds)
amd fx-8350
gtx 660 (2 gigs of vram made by evga)
8 gigs of 1600mhz ripjaws (2x4)
asrock 970 extreme3 r2.0
1 WD velociraptor hdd
1 adata ssd
coolermaster hyper 212 eva
3 120mm fans (2 use led's)

Hi. 500w is fine, but that particular one ( Thermaltake ) is not one of the better / reliable ones. Look for a 500w Seasonic, Corsair, PC Power & Cooling or Silverstone PSU in the 500w range. Those are good Reliable PSU' and will dekiver consistant power. They are made with better parts such as caps, but with Corsair, it depends on the series. Some are better than others. Although I am on the fence about it, the Corsair CX series seems to okay.
