I am having CCC failure on a Sony Vaio with Intel i7-3632QM. It worked fine until I installed 8.1. I attempted going back to a restore point but the restore was unsuccessful...the CCC seemed to occur when attempting to log into my gmail account. any suggestions?

I am having this same problem. I have tried your directions, however I can neither install a new ccc or driver, nor un-install the old ccc or driver. I keep getting the error "Failure to load detection drivers" No matter what I do I cannot get past this point. HELP PLZ!
