I would like some input on 2 pc builds I put together. This is my first time building a pc, this will be mostly for gaming and my budget is $1000 to $1100 max. this will be without a monitor first ishttp://pcpartpicker.com/user/deadmatter/saved/4lRb.... second is http://pcpartpicker.com/user/deadmatter/saved/4mey

Edit: hey guys thx for the suggestions and tips, I tweaked my intel build to put me right over my budget, i think this might be the one any last suggestions...here is the new build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/deadmatter/saved/4mlx

When you change your build do you better link it in a new post instead of the op.The ones who are reacting wil notice that better.

I think that the psu i chose is the better one for the same price.

If you want faster ram is the next imo a nice option too again for the same price,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f317000cl11d8gbxl
or
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f317000cl9d8gbsr
or for 1866 ram ,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f31866c9d8gab
(you picked also blue ram,but with a case that has a window would i pick a better matcching color like the ripjaws)
because of the cooler do i like to use lower ram.

If you would go for the msi 770 would you be under the max. budget.

i think i chose a better psu,cpu cooler and case,i also chose a different gtx 770 and another motherboard, after the changes do you get it for less money.
If you insist on evga get the next one,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp42776kr
it at least is the cheaper one with the same cooler and higher clocks.

By now would i go for window 8 (.1),but it's all up to you.

What will the PC be used for is the real question? Between the two builds if the primary purpose is video rendering then the AMD rig will be your best bet, it's the one thing that the 8350 does better than the 4670K, otherwise if gaming, VMs, imaging, or general purpose systems use, the Intel excels over the 8350 in all respects, on your Intel build would suggest changing the mobo though, won't touch MSI mobo's due to poor QC, at that price point would look at the Asus Z87-A, also might consider upping the DRAM to 1866/9 or 8, Haswell loves fast DRAM
