I did a lot of searching around and couldnt find a clear answer. In short, should I add something like a 60GB SSD Cache to my HDD even though I use a 500GB SSD for a boot drive. Situation explained below
Basically I have a nice SSD boot drive with all my large programs on it. (photoshop, lightroom, after effects, illustrator, office etc.)
Primary imports and editing takes place on the 500GB Samsung 840 EVO. Secondary projects go to the 1TB WD VelociRaptor. After a few weeks, these files get archived on one of the two 4TB Red drives. These storage drives backup to offsite storage drives.
There is a noticeable difference in photo and video load time when working off of the VelociRaptor... I have a 60GB Patriot Pyro SDD sitting around and was considering just popping it in to Cache the Raptor but considering that drive only has a few small programs. I'm wondering if its even worth it.
Would appreciate advise because I was considering popping the 60GB Pyro in my moms computer to give her a little boost.
Thanks!
