This guy has the same problem as me exactly. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/328192-30-asus-m5a99x

and no one was able to find an answer for him. He's having the exact same problem as me and I have no clue how to fix it. I suspect its a memory problem completely but I don't know if its faulty memory or, just a setting in the BIOS. Please help I really just want to be able to game or even sometimes open Chrome without the whole PC locking up and having to restart. Sometimes it doesn't even come on when I push the power button, like everything will light up and all the fans will spin and the computer will be on, but I suspect that the RAM is stopping the computer from being able to do anything. I have to take the RAM out then put it back in to make it start working. Please help me!

Do you have the latest BIOS? Latest mobo drivers? Might also try booting with a single stick of DRAM and get into BIOS, then raise the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and the CPU/NB voltage + 0.10 then save, exit, shut down and add the second stick and give it a try

you say all lights come on and fans but nothing happens.

do you get the mfg's splash screen or os splash screen, have you hooked it to another monitor or tried another cable to make sure something is "looking" as if nothing is happening?

also, have you ran memtest from a bootable cd off of something like hirens cd or ubcd?
