Hey guys. I'm new to these forums. I will say I really enjoy reading through these questions/answers and understand more. But let me get on with it;

I've been playing many video games for a long time. It started out with the simple Minecraft, and the very low intensive games. Then, when I wanted to get a little more serious. After a few months, I decided to buy an ASUS - G75vw gaming laptop. There I played the usual Battlefield and Crysis. The machine was great. But then I noticed that I was turning a lot of settings down. In the Low-Medium-High range... And it got to the point where the quality to performance was non-existent. You got no quality for no performance.

So I was doing research about a new gaming laptop. But before you start talking about how gaming laptops are a waste, let me explain this part of my life first. I work for the United Nations. As a result, they enjoy putting my in different countries for four years. Some freezing cold, others blazing hot. That was why I got the G75. And I had frequent trips to the US for long amounts of time (2-3 months).
But anyway, I was looking into getting a new and better laptop... but I was crazed by the prices for these things! I then did some research and talked to a few of my friends who had desktops. Apparently it's cheaper to buy parts for a computer and build one your self. After doing some research here and there I found some parts and I'd like to ask you guys of Toms Hardware if they're compatible (or if I can find a website that would tell me).

Here's what I chose so far:

CPU
Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor

GPU
EVGA GeForce GTX780 3GB

Memory/RAM
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz

Motherboard
ASUS AM1M-A AM1 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Hard drive
WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch

Disk Drive
Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive

Power Supply
SeaSonic G Series 550-Watt ATX12V/EPS12V SLI Ready

OS
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit

Case
Fractal Design Define R4 Cases, Black Pearl

Cooling System
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan

And well... that's what I found...

But my first question is if they're compatable. Are all these parts go hand in hand together? Have the same ports? I'm a "newbie" when it comes to this type of stuff... I just have a rough Idea what's going on.

Secondly, my traveling/transporting dilemma;
I currently live in Nicaragua on account to my job. Nicaragua is a pretty hot place, and I first want to ask; should I make my computer liquid cooled? Air conditioning is way to expensive here, and I can't afford running air conditioning everyday. Is my fan that I have up there cut out to cool my computer? Or should I invest in some sci-fi liquid cooling system or really big fan? If so, please tell me which one I should get that works with all of mine... if that could be possible.

Also, I planned to buy this all in the US. What I was going to do is buy all the parts, and pack them in my suitcase. And unpack the case out of what ever it comes in, and just put cloths and stuff inside it to maximize the amount of space inside. I do not plan on opening any of the boxes the parts come in so I do not damage them. Does TSA have a problem with things like this? And if I was to get a liquid cooling system, would TSA think it's something bad to bring?

Is there a better way to ship it? UPS costs too much (around 500 USD) and sending it through the normal United States Postal Service never shows up here....

Sorry for the long post. Just need some help, with all this.

Hi. First, go to the i5 4670k processor. The only difference betwqen the two is the price and Hyperthreading on the i7. Having said that the motherboard will not work. it is AMD socketed and not Intel. This will do fine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157372 You ambient room temp can make a difference in the over all temps of your computer. I know it gets hot down there as I have been to Panama. It gets pretty hot in this corner I am in the summer, but usually it only translates to maybe to 3c to 5c difference than in the winter. The cooler you have on the list is a good one. If you went watercooling, I wouldn't consider anything less than a Corsair 100i. Anyway as to getting it from point A to point B. TSA has no problems with laptops, but a desktop in pieces is another thing. I can't think of anything that could be considered as dangerous, but with TSA, you can never tell. If you check the bag(s), I wouldn't bet on it getting there with you. Some pretty shady baggage handlers out there, and you wil be changing flights as far as I know, unless you get a Direct flight from N.Y. to Nicaragua, then you never know what is on that end. I have had stuff stolen and it wasn't even on an International Flight.

You've got at least one glaring incompatibility - the use of an AMD motherboard with an Intel CPU, you'd need a socket 1150 motherboard for that CPU.
I'll suggest "playing" at this website http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ which will help prevent incompatibilities such as that
Liquid cooling is an option but is not a panacea, the water cooling sticky may help explain http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/277130-29-read-first-watercooling-sticky
Have fun, try not to get too lost at PCPartPicker
