Hello,

recently I finished building a budget computer build. When troubleshooting for problems before I ordered the parts I found that the motherboard I'm using (msi z87-g45 gaming) only has 3 system fan inputs and I have planned to put 5 corsair AF120 fans in my case. My question is this: Is there a simple work around for this like a Y-cable that could merge 2 fan cables into 1?

Thanks in advance.

Yes the fans would run all the time. The system fans from the MB run all the time too. The CPU fan is controlled by the MB. I have the same corsair fan plugged into a sys fan header on the MB, blowing exhaust out the rear and it runs constantly at the same speed all the time. I have a fan controller for the top and front fans. You are gonna have to get a controller separately and wire it in.
