I will be grabbing 2 of the Kingpin cards soon and will be buying EK waterblock for both of them. I think it's a waste to have two nice ACX coolers siting there and plus they are special edition. Should I sell them? I don't think anyone will buy then but how much should I sell it for? Of not, I will just keep them as a collection. Lol

I'd say get a vanilla 780Ti. You could overclock them to some good values with the waterblocks, that way you don't have to pay for the hefty coolers that the kingpin ones use.
I doubt it though, as Kingpin must have set some insane clocks on that thing. I read he used LN2 to keep the cards cool.

But I already ordered lol
And also I really liked it. Nice suggestion you have got but I really prefer Kingpin and it overclocks like crazy. Btw I only have a 1000w power supply, I don't know whether it's enough power for 2 Kingpin with waterblocks and LGA 2011

Just found this on a thread:

If theres even a remote possibility that you are going to do a custom water cooling loop, stay away from any of the classified/kingpin boards... Only one water block for them (EVGA/Swiftech HydroCopper) and they are rarely in stock.... Finding that out now for myself.. 770 Classy is a great card though... But go for at least a 780 vanilla at least...

You could have a problem.

Um...I'm not doing in a whole system loop. I just wanna get water block on them. The EKWB one is in stock so I'm not worried. 770 would not be near enough for me... Neither the 780

You could seriously have a power supply problem, especially if you try to overclock the gpu's additonally. I am running a Silverstone 1200w PSU with my single Kingpin, but with overclocked power draw approaching 450w on a single card, you are not leaving much room for your other components. Let me know how it works for you, because I am ordering a second K|ngP|n too.<~~~ Sufferbus

Ordering the kingpins was not a mistake compared to the reference 780 ti's. The Kingpins will be able to OC much, much further. They are the best of the best binned cards. They are pretty much guaranteed to be amazing, and it's helped even more by a waterblock.

Kekoh, I agree. These gpus are amazing right out of the box. These things are killing everything I throw at them, and I have not even began overclocking them. I am running the newest Nvidia Beta driver 337.50 and it's been smooth sailing.

Your PSU may hinder you slightly. Only due to powering so much and then two GPU's and a Water cooling loop. At stock and slight overclocks you'll be fine. I'd suggest going up to like a 1200-1500W for a good overclock experience.

I have not ordered the components yet and how much power do i need if I am only using stock ACX and not Waterloop? Is 1000 watts enough now or should i do a dual psu configuration? I'm not sure how dual psu would work

1000 is fine sorry I was confused my the branch off of information by other users. 1000W is plenty! Just make sure the 12v rail meets the necessary for the GPUs.

Like a buddy told me: NOOOOOOO!!!! Don't get rid of them. If you ever have a problem with them including overclocking too far then you can't use the warranty without the stock coolers. As Kingpin stated he wouldnt put his name on it and tell you to overclock it otherwise.

As far as the 1000w psu I have a 1200w which is reccomended but the 1000w should be fine from what I've read.
