Hi guys. I want to upgrade my computer a little, It performs well in most games but sometimes in maxxed settings I get a bit of an fps drop. I want to know, based on my current spec, what hardware improvement would make the most difference.

My specs are;

8GB Vengence RAM (high speed but I cant remember exactly)
quad core 3.4ghz intel i5 4670k
GTX 670 graphics card.

Now Im thinking of replacing my graphics card, because I think I damaged it when I built my PC. its temperature when gaming is usually around 80-82 degrees and the fan is annoyingly loud, (its only around 6 months old). Not had any performance issues with it (as far as im aware), only performance issues i have with my system is that sometimes my fps drops from say 75 to 40ish.

However, today, my GPU seemed to take time to "Wake up" I was getting around 30fps ina game I usualy get around 70 for, and when I checked afterburner, the CPU usage was only about 40%, when its usually about 80% for this specific game. Is this normal? (Slightly off-topic sorry)

My price limit is about £200.00

Thanks in advance :)

It might be your GPU is throttling because of high temps and therefore not reaching 100% usage.

As for the upgrade, I'd say save more money. For that money you can get a GTX 760, which is just a rebadged version of your current GPU. The rest of your system seems fine, so no need for upgrades there.
