Realtek ALC1150 versus ASUS Xonar DG

I currently have an ASUS Xonar DG sound card, but if I switch to a micro ITX build I won't have a slot for my sound card (which is noticeably better than my current onboard sound, as I have good and unfortunately expensive speakers).

Does anyone familiar with audio know whether there would be a noticeable difference from the integrated Realtek ALC1150 to the ASUS Xonar DG sound card?

Is the Realtek ALC1150 at least better than my old board's onboard audio, the VIA VT1708S?
