hi, i got a 1tb hdd from an old sky box but it wont work on any computer, ive got 4 500g ones the exact same except the storage capacity and they just needed formatted but when i plug the 1tb one in it makes the noise but doesnt appear onscreen. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thx

right click my computer/manage/disk management , can u see the 1tb drive in there ?
if you can see it there right click on it and select change drive letter and paths

not really i was just wanting it to upgrade my storage space. when i right click on it it says initialize disk and then you must initialize a disk before logical disk manager can access it and it gives 2 options. they are MBR (master boot record) and GPT (guid partition table)
