Hi everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and I have 2 choices .

I can buy a Asus GTX 760 2GB DirectCU II OC Edition or I can get a Asus R9 280x DirectCU II 3GB Standard Edition .

The 760 is about 65 USD Cheap than 280x in my Country to does the 280x worth 65 USD over 760 ?
I can't decide which one should I buy . I'll play Games on Ultra High on 1600*900 and I can upgrade to 1920*1080 in Future . I have NO plans for CF or SLI .

Please Suggest me between those 2 Cards .

They perform very close it's up to your brand preference & efficiency. The 280x uses much more power & creates a little more heat due to that yet not much really, but does better in Open CL & atm has Mantle (but DX12 will be out soon)& true audio. The 760 has features like game streaming, shadowplay, & uses much less power. So in my opinion if I wanted an extra boost to performance I'd say 280X, but if I wanted less energy consumption I'd go for a 760. Depends on your PSU of course, & both will do well in 900p/ or 1080p

The GTX760 would arguably be the best value. Long-term my favorite feature is G-Sync which requires an NVidia card and a new monitor which gives amazing smooth experience (must be soon but lots of reviews).

Currently, I think PhysX and Shadowplay are the biggest deal. Mantle for AMD is not likely to succeed aside from a few games since it's not supported on console so most Devs won't want to spend the extra money to convert to Mantle. In two years we'll see but I think DX12 is the future on PC.

There's no wrong answer, though I'd consider the GTX770 as well.

I don't think energy consumption is a big factor.
