Hello!

I am currently looking for an graphics card

The cards i am looking at for the moment is the GTX 780. I wonder is it ok

My current rig setup is
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Motherboard: Intel DH87MC
PSU: Cooler master 600 W
Ram: Corsair 16 gigabyte ddr3 ram @ 1333 mhz

So the thing i am wondering about is weather my current setup is able to handle the top most graphics cards.

My current concern is weather my PSU would be able to handle the load and also if my motherboard would be able to handle the graphics card and weather my current CPU would bottleneck the cards.

More about : buy top graphic card

Best solution

a c 343 U Graphics card
a c 192 à CPUs
a c 370 V Motherboard

firstly, yes your PC can handle that GPU most certainly (no bottleneck whatsoever with that CPU). Only downside is your PSU, coolermaster is a little cheap and not the best of PSU's in terms of quality and performance.

I would actually take you away from the GTX 780 but try to convince you to the AMD Hawaii route, with their R9 290 a powerhouse edging that Nvidia card. If you would like further reasoning just ask and I'll explain. Also look into the custom cooled models for reference.

Why did you get a H87 motherboard when you have a k series processor? You should have gone for a 4770.
Anyway, current matters more than wattage. How many amps are there on the +12 V rail? Need 42 for a standard system with a GTX780.

Also, the R9 290 and 290x cards run hot, and are loud, so if you don't care about every last speck of performance, a 780 is a good card(and very powerful).

do you know, I suggested custom cooled R9 290's so they run cooler and quieter then the stock cooled model.
P.S. I have a custom cooled R9 290X (Gigabyte Windforce 3X OC), so I know how well the custom cooled models perform.

I can change motherboard now and what powersupply should I use. I can change it too but can't use more wattage i.e. I can use 600 watt the max. I don't know which brand is good for the above mentioned power supply. I want to buy NVIDIA graphic coz. my experience with the previous graphic card AMD-HD6850 was not a pleasant one and mind it summer r very hot in my region. I got some information about NVIDIA GTX 780, 780Ti and 680 but confused which one to buy. Hope will get good suggestion. Thanks in advance guys.

There are variations in price based on country.
Which country are you in?
Get the 770 instead of the 680. It's cheaper and it has higher clocks.

Not quite, there is no destroy between any GTX 780 and R9 290.

GTX 780 classified can't really be classified as stock, it has a different cooler and different clock speeds, a stock R9 290, technically isn't stock as it has already had some OC.

They're still stock.... They're not reference is what you are implying. Which i didn't say reference in reference models the 780 and R9 290 switch of from game to game. A 780 Classified in essence is an unlocked GPU with a DUAL LN2 Bios for insane overclocks. It has a Normal or (Stock) speed though out the gate a "Stock" 780 Classified is much faster than a Stock 290 in-fact a stock 780 Classified is faster than most non reference and overclocked 290's the 290x of course beats it. the 780 Classified is the closest you get to a 780 Ti without getting a 780 Ti....
