pretty much, You tend to get lots of negative reviews if people are unhappy and want people to know about the issues, but with the 90%+ people who buy the product who are happy, don't tend to bother writing a review.

with the differences, there are heaps with the Extreme3 proven to be better.

The extrem3 has better Multi-GPU support

Higher ram speed support (2933Mhz OC+)

PRO3, Toned down on features, which is a range of inclusions on the motherboard

The look of the extreme3 is also much better.

take your pick, all those sub GBP100 mobos are pretty good. but based on the pics i'm seeing, the only reason anyone may have a problem with MSI's G45 is the no. of chokes the board's carrying, but for the price that should be expected. and seeing as you're not OCing, not with the 4570, that argument's moot.

on a more bias perspective, most of my personal acquaintances has a lot of negative things to say about MSI's quality and service in the last 2-3 years. but that's me, your mileage may vary.

Those motherboard sockets are all over the joint, ranging across all sockets from intel to AMD, not a good link to look at. Also the prices go over budget specified. On top of that, not all Z87 motherboards support SLI, more in fact support crossfire so you have to be careful on what motherboard you choose (Motherboard in that list (ones that were Z87) had some listed that has multi-GPU support but not SLI certified). You also need to make sure the SLI runs in X16/X8 or X8/X8, both are the same and use cards best in multi-GPU configuration. Some manufacturers say supports SLI but runs in X16/X4, which is not good to get best Multi-GPU performance.

That link is utterly useless and shouldn't even be used as it is of no help to the OP, just confusion.

Thanks guys, what's the difference between the
asrock extreme 3 and the pro 3? I have heard mixed reviews about the extreme 3, but I suppose you'll always get negative reviews no matter what.
