I am looking for a new graphics card to run Battlefield 4 on ultra, i have looked on google but could not find one i liked, i would prefer Nvidia over Radeon cards though and i dont want to spend over £200

Thanks for the help, Kegetan :)

(EDIT) Also the res is 1080 and what is mantle?

Solution
Gtx 780/780ti or r9 290/290x under 200 pounds a 760 will get you close and a 280 will be just behind that. Not at ultra you'll have to turn down filters

With that budget you're best bet is a GTX 770. Can get a GTX 770 Gaming edition right now for $320 at Newegg (£192) but I don't know if they ship internationally. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127741

I can tell you from my own experience that a GTX 770 will run BF4 on Ultra, but it won't always be at 60+ fps. It will for the most part, in fact it will usually be 70-90, but occasionally during moments with big explosions etc it will drop into the high 50s, but that's pretty rare.

its a new api just like directx, it gives you slighty better fps depending on your overall setup it is really nice and will most likley improve in the future still its not that big of a deal yet the 280x is still worth it or the 770 depends on what brand you like more i would prefer the r9-280x.

To be fair, it does help people with low-end PCs quite a lot, or so I hear.

It's just high-end PCs that only get 2-3 extra FPS from it. XD
Mantle isn't really a good justification for getting an AMD card at all, unless it's an R7 260X or weaker.

I didn't mean to sound aggressive. I just meant that it isn't the savior it was marketed to be and most times and users stick to dx11 as it seems mantle has decreased or matched performance. I didn't want the op to get the idea that mantle was a selling point.

True. Also, DX12 is supposed to have the advantages of Mantle as well, minor though they are.
